Fred Curtis Norton, 46, of Main Street, went into the arms of our heavenly father, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital, following a courageous battle with numerous medical problems and suffering four heart attacks.
Born November 29, 1970 in Louisville, KY, he was the beloved son of Curtis and Lila Norton of Hudson Falls.
Fred worked at the Sears Co. and GE in Glens Falls, Fort William Henry in Lake George, and several painting jobs. Fred loved fishing with his dad, Allen, his brothers, as well as trips with his brother, Gene, and family. He was a caring man who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his companion, Virginia Jakway; four beloved children, Heidi Norton, Breanna Gregson, Corinna Norton, and Mason Norton; his siblings, Eugene Allen and his fiancée, Jamie Smith and Larry Allen, Sr., both of Warrensburg, and Debbie Fuller of Hudson Falls; special “brothers”, Larry Allen and his wife, Cindy, and Allen Cox, as well as two grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call on Fred’s family from 2 to 4 pm, Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 4 pm, at the funeral home.
Fred’s family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at Glens Falls Hospital for the care and compassion provided during this difficult time.
