Bolton Landing:
Vivian Gertrude Granger, 83, formerly of New Vermont Road, went into the arms of the Lord on February 17, 2009 at the Westmount Health Care Facility following a short illness.
Born in Brant Lake on June 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Vira (Baker) Hill.
Vivian worked for many years at Lambs Cabins in Bolton Landing, along with several other resorts in the area.
She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Bolton Landing.
Vivian enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dogs.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Ellsworth Francis Granger, who passed away on May 7, 1998; and her sister, Rosamond Mae Bishop, who passed away on August 9, 1977.
She is survived by her nieces: Jean Norton of Bolton Landing; Eileen Monroe and her husband, Roger of Diamond Point; her nephews: Melvin Bishop and his wife, Nancy of Bolton Landing; Ernest Bishop and his wife, Susan of Porters Corners; and James Baker and his wife, Barb of Porters Corners; along with several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 4 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Stewart Avenue, Bolton Landing, with Pastor Ronald Burdett, officiating.
