Mr. Farrell was a great teacher and I was very sorry when I recently heard of his passing. Astronomy with him was one of the best, most enjoyable classes I took at Lake George. I hope his family realizes the profound impact he had on so many of his students.

I received an e-mail from Peter Warren from Suffern, NY advising me
of John's death.
There are many fond memories of our
teen and beyond years.
The news of John's death came as a shock. He was way to young to have been taken.
My deepest sympathy and sincere
condolences to John's family

Doc was my high school chemistry and ecology teacher in the 1980's. He was the man who introduced me to a career in outdoor education. Doc's influence and guidance shaped the lives of thousands of Lake George High School students. He was a great teacher. Thanks, Doc, for setting me on a path that helped shape who I am today. Teacher, mentor, friend, peace be with you.

I met John when he volunteered to help with the archaeology at Wiawaka. He was an invaluable member of the team last summer, quietly sharing his experiences and expertise. It was a privilege to get to know him and to work with him. He will definitely be missed.

I am deeply sadden by the passing of John. He was a friend and fellow trustee of the French and Indian War society. John held vast knowledge of the history of our area both on the water and the land.
Though I knew John for only a short 5 years John made an impact on my life and further interest and involvement in our history. I am so pleased he was able to see his name on the acknowledgment for HIS room at the Fort William Henry. I was lucky to have met him and worked with him.
With deep respect John to you and your family.

I am very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. Be comforted by the hope of the resurrection. Look forward to the day when the last enemy, death, "is to be brought to nothing"! (1 Cor.15:26) God's loyal servants, as well as others, are in Jehovah's infallible memory and will be resurrected. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15) Confidence in Jehovah's resurrection promise brings us comfort and a sure hope during times of distress.
