Bolton Landing:
Phyllis F. LaGoy, 90, of Trout Lake Rd., passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at her home. Born October 9, 1926 in Bolton, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Beatrice (St. Claire) Putney.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Bolton Central School.
Phyllis worked for the US Postal Service in Bolton Landing for many years, retiring at 79 years of age.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her siblings: Katherine, Forrestine, and Junior; husband, Roderick LaGoy, a son, Terry LaGoy, and son-in-law, Jerry Bromley.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Bromley and Diane Burkhardt, both of Bolton Landing; one grandson, Jeremy Bromley of Chicago, IL; two granddaughters, Leah (Vinnie) Acevedo of Greenfield Center, and Lacey Bromley of Buffalo; and a great-granddaughters, Elise and Sonya Acevedo. At the family’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11 am, Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Bolton Rural Cemetery, Lake Shore Drive, Bolton Landing. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Phyllis’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
