Obituary of Rosemary E. Kelly

Lake George:
Rosemary E. Kelly, 75, of Bloody Pond Road, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 15, 1941 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Angela (Ciccia) Dunigan.
Following her graduation from Albany High School, Rosie met and later married Edward Kelly, the couple relocated to the Lake George area to continue raising their family. She began her career working as a sales associate at Champion and Steinbach and then as a fragrance consultant at BonTon, where she’s been employed for 17 years, making many friends along the way.
Rosie was affectionately known to many as Rosebud, Ladybug, Budman, Bellybutton, and Nan. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, playing cards with her friends, and a cold zinfandel spritzer.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Claire Dunigan, and brother, Richard Dunigan.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Edward Kelly of Lake George; two daughters, Debbie Kelly of Warrensburg, and Jackie Smith and her husband, Jeff, of Lake George; three granddaughters, Braydin Smith and her companion, Todd Lawson, of Lake George, Baylee Smith of Lake George, and Emma Rose Kelly of Warrensburg; siblings, John Dunigan and his wife, Ginny, of Greenbush, Mickey Dunigan and his wife, Barbara, of Rotterdam Junction, Effie Parisi of Scotia, Eddie Dunigan of Saratoga, and Angela Dunigan and her companion, Jim, of Schodack. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call on Rosie’s family from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 10 am, Wednesday, at the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Busch, officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Lake George.
In lieu of flowers, please express your love and gratitude to those near and dear to you, because our time on Earth is precious. Rosie’s family would like to start by thanking the physicians and nurses of the ICU at Glens Falls Hospital for the phenomenal care provided.
