Obituary of Lois E. Pasco

WARRENSBURG/ST.SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.: Lois E. Cobb Pasco, 89, passed away peacefully Friday, April 13, 2012, at Marsh’s Edge, St. Simons Island, Ga. She was a former resident of Warrensburg. Born in Catskill on July 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ithmar and Anna (Seubert) Cobb. She was a graduate of Catskill High School, and then went on to graduate from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn. She served as a 1st Lt. in the Army Nurse Corp on hospital ships during World War II, including the Queen Mary. She was an active resident of the Warrensburg community and was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Order of the Easter Star, Queen Village Chapter No. 825 and the Warrensburg Kiwanis wives. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Robert E. Pasco; four brothers: Addison, Douglas, Burton and George Cobb, former N.Y. State Supreme Court Judge. Lois is survived by her daughter, Marcia Stutz and her husband, Don of Brunswick, Ga. and her son, Wayne Pasco and his wife, Juanita of Phoenix, Ariz. She also leaves behind three grandsons: Sean Kasper and his wife, Kathryn of Brunswick, Ga.; Brian Kasper currently teaching in Viet Nam; and James Nolen of Clifton Park, N.Y; one great- grandson, Robert Kasper of Brunswick, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Lois will take place at Marsh’s Edge, St. Simons Island, Ga. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 2:30 pm. Locally, a memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, May 14, 2012 at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. Burial with military honors will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
