Warrensburg:
Jasmine M. Baker, 73, of Library Avenue, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 29, 2011 at Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a courageous two year battle with cancer.
Born September 19, 1937 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late Algie and Josephine (Wood) Kenyon.
Jasmine was a lifelong resident of the area and was loved by everyone that she met.
Most recently, Jasmine worked for Jacob and Toney’s Market in Warrensburg for 15 years until she fell ill and was no longer able to work.
Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed thoroughbred horse racing; frequently visiting the Saratoga Raceway and the local OTB.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Cleon Kenyon.
She is survived by her daughters: Wendi Baird and her husband, Gene of Warrensburg and Tamara Conklin of CA; her son, Craig Baker of Thurman; grandchildren: Joshua and Justin Baird; Jaired and Garrett Conklin; Amanda Baker, Kylie Baker, and Courtney Byrnes; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call on Jasmine’s family from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 7 pm, at the funeral home.
