My condolences to the family. I have never forgotten Joe's (and his brother's help when my car got stuck in the snow on the Johnsburg hill near the Galusha home many years ago. He and his brother quickly came to my rescue.

Joe Galusha was not only a blue-blooded, straight-shootin' Adirondacker, but I always respected him for his devotion to his mother Stella. I always enjoyed seeing him, which is why i asked him to meet me at the White Pine Restaraunt back in 2003 so I could include him in the photograph on page 12 of my book. He could joke about anything, any time. I will sorely miss Joe galusha, and on behalf of everyone at Hudson Headwaters health Network, I wish all the best to Leon, Bill, Max and the rest of Joe's family. He was one of a kind!
