Warrensburg:
Marcus W. Russell, 63, of Library Avenue, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at his home with his loving family at his side.
Born August 1, 1947 in Middletown, he was the son of Florence (Hartman) Russell of Warrensburg and the late Harry M. Russell.
Marcus spent his childhood in Greeley, PA. He then became a longtime resident of Sparta, NJ, before relocating to Warrensburg.
Marcus proudly served his country in the United States Army, Company A 2nd Battalion 37 Armored Division from 1966-1968.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved life in the Adirondacks.
Besides his mother, Marcus leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years, Sybil A. (McCarrick) Russell; son, Sloan W. Russell and his wife, Gina; grandchildren, Preston W. Russell and Alyssa M. Russell, all of Warrensburg; as well as several extended family members and friends.
Marcus was loved by many and deeply touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
