Obituary of Leonard C. Scott

Brant Lake: Leonard C. Scott, 87, formerly of Horicon Ave., passed away, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in North Creek following a long illness. Born June 8, 1923 in Ridgewood, NJ, he was the son of the late Winfield and Mattie (Babcock) Scott. Leonard and his wife, Eleanor moved their family to the north-country in 1972. Leonard and his son, Atchisson were partners in a successful carpentry and masonry business in Brant Lake for many years. His favorite pastimes included fishing, gardening, building miniature houses, Yankee baseball, spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Jeremy David. Those that have predeceased him include his beloved wife, Eleanor (Strong) Scott, who passed away March 19, 2002 after 58 years of marriage; his daughter, Linda Sidorski; son, William Scott; three brothers, Robert, Atchisson and Winfield Scott; two sisters, Tootsie Welch and Muriel Castner. Leonard leaves behind his children, Nancy McInerney and her husband, Warren of AZ, Atchisson Scott of Waddington, Patricia Urtz and her husband, John of Diamond Point, Debbie Waters and her husband, Gerald of Brant Lake; six grandchildren, Grant, Jeremy, Lori Ann, Jeff, Maria and Martha; three great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Leonard’s wishes were that services be private and at the convenience of the family.
