Beatrice “Bea-Bea” Cleveland, 83, formerly of Hayes Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Heritage Commons Residential Health Care Center following a long illness.
Born August 11, 1927 in Indian Lake, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elsie (Coutts) Cleveland.
Beatrice began her working career as a seamstress in Poughkeepsie and later worked for the Troy Guild in Glens Falls until her retirement at the age of 65, when she relocated to North River to take care of her father, Benjamin until his passing on September 22, 2000.
Beatrice enjoyed arts and crafts, but above all, she loved to spend time with her beloved family and friends.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, John Cleveland.
She is survived by her sisters: Elizabeth Hayes of Schenectady; Margaret Schenk of North Creek; and Genevieve Davis of North River; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Beatrice’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 1 pm, Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
Burial will follow in North River Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
