I met Joel in the 70's during the Algonquin days! I remember many good times hanging out, having a few cocktails and Joel playing the guitar!
I am sorry for your loss, Betsy.

I first met Joel when I hired him at the Town of Queensbury as a building inspector. Joel was always friendly and I enjoyed his dry sense of humor. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and extend my condolences and prayers to his family. He was fine person.

I knew Joel from high school and summers during college. Very sorry he passed so young. It sounds like he made a great success of his life, and for that I am glad. My condolences to his family. Joel was a blast when we were young.

Joel was a very social man who was known throughout the town
He was thoughtful, kind and helpful whenever you were down
He loved to sit and have a "few with his cooler by his side
and together he and Betsy would
come by here for a ride
We have really missed the happy times when we would get to chat
and have always kept him in our prayers remembering all that
Betsy, It's been hard on you to
handle all this too - but with your friends and family - somehow you'll make it through.
Joel was strong right to the end and his love never did falter:
and he will be watching you, with love, as you take him to God's alter.
We are so sorry.
Kathy, Dan and Aleesha

Betsy, so very sorry to hear about Joel! He put up such a brave fight! I worked with him in Community Development in 2005 & 06, and I will always remember him as a nice, caring fellow with a funny sense of humor and a dedication to doing the job well. I actually have some "rocks" from your property adorning my landscaping in the front of my house that Joel gave me when he was clearing. I will remember him always when I see them. May your memories of Joel help heal your grief, Betsy.
