We moved to the house next door to Edna and Harry in 1966 with our two young children and a reprobate Labrador retriever who was the world's worse dog long before Marley. The children loved Harry and Edna and when they turned up missing, I knew exactly where they were. Edna entertained them for hours with magazines, scissors, paste and a concoction of grape juice and ginger ale. They were often accompanied by their 100lb dog. Harry was a generous source of quarters and he had the children convinced it was he who turned on the street lights each night. We all adored "Gibbsie" and after the children were grown and we left the 'burg, we would to stop to say "hello" when we were in town. I still can't believe she learned to drive so late in life. Both Harry and Edna were lovely people and it is a wonderful memory having been their neighbors.

To Edna's family...what a wonderful woman Edna was. I took such delight every time I got to see her in church while raising our son in Warrensburg. She was always so kind and loving and gracious as a gem. She will be missed by many who so fondly spent time with her and even a drive by to see her on her porch could just make your day..may God's Peace be with each of you during this time.
