To Gretchen and Shellie's family,
I worked with Shellie @ the nursing home. I never had to worry about what she was thinking- because she would always be up front with me and had her resident's care foremost in her mind. I admired her courage and dedication-wkg thru her treatments. I still have my pink ribbon pin-and will keep wearing it in tribute to Shel and the many women who keep fighting, going forward. Our community and the Adirondack Tri-County Health Care Center has lost one terrific woman and nurse. I worked with Shelly for 17 years and she was the epitome of professionalism, compassion, competence and loyalty. We always were assured that the residents were in good hands when Shelly was "in charge". My deepest sympathy goes to Merle, Ted, Pat, Shelly's extended family, friends and the ATCHCC family.

Shellie was as brave and tough as any woman I have known, and she always kept a positive attitude right to the end. She was a real Adirondack Woman and she will be sorely missed by everyone at the North Creek Health Center and the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing home. Aunt Shellie touched the lives of many people. We all should celebrate her life by living each day to the fullest and spending time with the ones you love the most as much as possible.
